New Canaan,CT : Car crashes into trash at New Canaan transfer station on Wednesday, 6th May, 2020

A car drove forward through a railing at the New Canaan transfer station around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, coming to rest with its nose in a large trash container, its rear bumper still on the platform above.
“I don’t know exactly what happened,” Director of Public Works Tiger Mann said. “It was in a stall, drove over the curb, through fencing, the front end of the car landed in a Dumpster.”
According to a Facebook post from New Canaan Firefighters, the vehicle fell about 10 feet.
There were two people in the car. Firefighters removed the passenger’s side door to free the occupants.
