Marshall, MO : A Miami woman died as the result of a crash on Wednesday, November, 1st 2017

A Miami woman died as the result of a crash Wednesday morning, Nov. 1, in Carroll County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 2003 Ford Focus, driven by Cynthia R. Burton, 31, of Miami, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 24. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, returned to the road and skidded sideways. It then reportedly traveled off the right side of the road again and rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its wheels.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:20 a.m., and Burton was transported to Carroll County Memorial Hospital by ambulance. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Carroll County EMS, Carroll County Sheriff’s Department and Saline County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
