APPLE VALLEY, CA : Apple Valley man killed in motorcycle crash on Saturday, 11th August 2018

A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he crashed while traveling along South Road, authorities said.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Apple Valley Station deputies responded to a report of a downed motorcycle rider on South Road, just east of Quinnault Road, at approximately 7:01 a.m. Saturday.

According to authorities, the reporting party was a resident in the area who was driving along South Road when he came upon a man, later identified as Apple Valley resident Michael Anthony Hoffman, down in the roadway and a wrecked motorcycle nearby.

Despite the resident attempting to perform CPR on Hoffman, emergency personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
