Tacoma, WA : 86-year-old drunk driver causes I-5 crash in Tacoma on Monday night, November 10, 2014

A drunken 86-year-old driver crashed into another car overnight while heading the wrong way up Interstate 5 in Tacoma, the Washington State Patrol reports. State troopers responded to the southbound lanes of I-5 near the Tacoma Dome just after midnight Tuesday after receiving reports of a collision involving a wrong-way driver. They found two heavily damaged vehicles and two injured drivers. The injuries were not life-threatening. A preliminary investigation found that one of the drivers, an 86-year-old man believed to be alcohol-impaired, had been driving north in the southbound lanes of the freeway before crashing into the other vehicle.
