Garden City woman injured in rollover crash near Kansas

A Garden City woman was seriously injured Monday in a rollover accident on U.S. 50 in Finney County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
At 1:18 p.m. Monday, 51-year-old Maria A. Rico de Farfan was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50, about 5 miles west of the U.S. 83 junction, when her passenger-side wheels went off the south side of the highway for unknown reasons.

Rico de Farfan overcorrected, and her 2002 Jeep Liberty went into the center median, rolled three times and came to rest on its wheels in the median, the patrol reported.

She was taken to St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. A hospital spokesperson on Tuesday said Rico de Farfan was not listed as a patient there, but no further details were available. Rico de Farfan was wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol.
