Fort Collins, CO : Passenger in Beaver's Market crash remains hospitalized on Tuesday, January 3rd 2017
The 54-year-old passenger involved in Saturday's crash at Beaver's Market remains hospitalized.
The woman, Angela Ramirez, was still listed in serious condition Tuesday afternoon, a Medical Center of the Rockies spokeswoman confirmed.
Douglas Scovill, 36, reportedly drove the pair west on Mountain Avenue but lost control of his truck and crashed into the grocery store during an attempted right turn onto Shields Street, according to the man's arrest affidavit. Ramirez sustained injuries to her hip and pelvis in the crash.
Scovill reportedly told police on scene that he drank several beers at a local bar before driving, had bloodshot eyes and failed several roadside tests. He then consented to blood draws.
Scovill was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault, a Class 4 felony, and driving under the influence.
He's being held at the Larimer County Jail on a $7,500 bond, and is due in court for a first appearance Jan. 11.
