Binghamton ,NY :One man killed and another injured in 1-car crash on upstate New York road Thursday, August 27th 2015
State police say alcohol is believed to have played a role in a one-car crash in upstate New York that left one man dead and another injured.
Troopers say 34-year-old Jemark Ballenger of Endicott was driving around 3:20 a.m. Thursday when he crashed on a turn on a road in the Broome County town of Binghamton.
Police say Ballenger's car left the road and hit a tree.
The front-seat passenger, 29-year-old Troy McIver of Johnson City, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ballenger suffered a broken leg and arm and was taken to Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City.
Troopers say charges are pending against Ballenger.
