Morristown,TN : Morristown man dies in ATV wreck on August, Thursday 3rd 2017

A 58-year-old Morristown man died Thursday afternoon after he was pinned beneath an overturned all-terrain vehicle in a field off Vantage View Drive, according to the Morristown Police Department.

Funeral arrangements for Jackie Brotherton, who lived on Watercrest Street, will be announced later by Westside Chapel Funeral Home.


Brotherton had been the caretaker for the property owner, Harold Nichols, for about five years. Ashli Shea Bunch, a family friend discovered the body around 12:30 p.m. after she came to the Nichols’ residence to fish, according to officer Samuel Swatzell.

The Kawasaki Mule was still on Brotherton’s head when first responders arrived. He never regained consciousness.
