BIRMINGHAM, AL : 4 hurt in ambulance crash in Birmingham on U.S. 280 on Monday, 4th February 2019
Four people have been sent to a hospital after an ambulance and another vehicle collided in Birmingham.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Sebastian Carrillo told news outlets the ambulance was carrying a patient on U.S. 280 Monday night when it hit another vehicle. Carrillo said the wreck sent the ambulance across the road where it hit another vehicle head-on.
The ambulance patient and two medics were taken to a hospital as was a person in the vehicle that was hit head-on.
Carrillo said one of the victims suffered substantial injuries. There was no word on the condition of the other three people. Their names have not been released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
