A tractor-trailer crash on Route 30 in Lancaster County is snarling eastbound traffic, emergency officials said.
A supervisor with the Lancaster County 911 Center confirmed a crash happened the morning of Thursday, Dec. 21, on Route 30 eastbound near the Columbia exit.
Shortly before 10 a.m., he told The York Dispatch that eastbound Wrightsville exit has been closed because of it.
A York County 911 supervisor said they are receiving reports of traffic backups on Route 462 (Hellam Street) through Wrightsville — particularly at the intersection of Hellam and NInth streets, and at the Route 462 bridge spanning Wrightsville and Columbia.
At 10:45 a.m., Hellam Township Police Sgt. Drew Heistand told The York Dispatch that eastbound traffic on Route 462 was backed up to Hallam Borough from the Susquehanna River bridge.
At 11:45 a.m., police were still reporting significant traffic delays through Wrightsville.
The state Department of Transportation's online traffic cameras showed Route 30 eastbound traffic at Cool Creek Road was still snarled at 12:15 p.m.
Heistand urged drivers to avoid the area.
