Nashville, TN : Man died in a single-vehicle crash on Old Hickory Boulevard on Tuesday morning, Sep 29, 2015

A Springfield man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in the 5600 block of Old Hickory Boulevard.

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Thomas Bowles.

Police said Bowles was driving a Ford Mustang south on Old Hickory Boulevard when he ran off the road and hit a utility pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said there was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene. Police believe speed and the wet road conditions were contributing factors in the crash.
