Freeport, ME : I-295 traffic flowing in Freeport on Thursday, 28th March 2019

Traffic was back to normal on I-295 in Freeport after two crashes and construction slowed the morning commute Thursday.

The first crash involved two vehicles and was reported just after 8 a.m. The vehicles involved partially blocked the roadway, causing delays.

A second crash was reported shortly before 9 a.m. farther north in Freeport, causing additional delays, according to the Maine Turnpike Authority.

The Turnpike Authority said that after crashes were cleared around 10:30, and an hour after that, traffic was back to normal, the Turnpike Authority said.
