Murrysville, PA : Two women were injured after a three-vehicle crash on Route 22 on Thursday morning September 18th 2014
Murrysville, Pennsylvania
Two women were put into ambulances after a three-vehicle crash that caused backups Thursday morning on Route 22 in Murrysville, Westmoreland County.
Emergency dispatchers said the accident happened near the intersection with Old William Penn Highway at about 10:15 a.m.
Lori Sinclair said she heard the crash while she was working at Maple Hill Interiors.
"I went, 'Uh-oh, there's a wreck,' and I come out, and there just happened to be an ambulance sitting at this red light as that happened, and he just pulled around and they were the first ones there," she said.
No information on the patients' conditions was immediately available.
Sinclair said accidents often happen at the intersection, including minor non-reported incidents.
"This is one of the biggest ones I've seen for a while," she said. "They just go too fast up and down, and then when the light changes, the one car will stop, who's going the right speed, and then the cars behind, I just don't think they see and just plow right into them".
