Greenwich, CT: Crashes, roadwork, traffic slowing motorists on Friday, July 17th 2015

The accident in Greenwich was cleared around 2:30, and traffic lanes have re-opened.Traffic accidents and heavy traffic is slowing down motorists on major roads of southwest Connecticut Friday afternoon.Emergency personnel are on the scene of a tractor-trailer accident near Exit 2 on I-95 in Greenwich. Southbound delays are heavy with one lane closed near the crash. Fire department crews are also on the scene to help contain a fuel leak with the truck off to the shoulder. The state Department of Transportation also says a rolled-over vehicle is also involved in that crash.Southbound traffic from Bridgeport to Darien - a distance of about 19 miles - has speeds knocked down into the low 20s mph.
