Bremerton, WA : Car crashes into Bremerton grocery store on Thursday 29th September 2016
An SUV plowed through the entrance doors Thursday afternoon of the Red Apple Market on Kitsap Way, according to the Bremerton Fire Department.
Firefighters were called to the market, at Kitsap Lake Junction, just before 1:45 p.m.
No one was struck by the SUV, and the driver, a woman in her 50s, was not hurt, said Bremerton Fire Chief Al Duke.
The woman narrowly missed bollards and struck the entrance doors, penetrating the store with the front of the SUV. A "big flowerpot and Washington lottery machine" helped stop the car, Duke said.
Duke said the store close Thursday afternoon to secure the front entrance.
Bremerton police are investigating.
Duke said the SUV had little damage and was drivable.
