PINOLE, CA : Woman dead in rollover crash on I-80 identified on April, Thursday 20th 2017

A fatal crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 80 took the life of a 20-year-old Vallejo woman, authorities said.The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office identified Michelle Cox early Thursday. Cox died at the scene after the crash on eastbound I-80 near the southbound Appian Way on-ramp, California Highway Patrol Officer James Evans said. The vehicle rolled over in the wreck, which happened around 12:50 p.m.
The car appeared to go off the right shoulder and landed on its right side, Evans said. The crash partially ejected Thomas. What prompted the car to veer off the road was not known.

The CHP closed the ramp to traffic until around 2:30 p.m.
