Elsiii ,OR : Seven people injured after car crash along Highway 26 on Saturday ,JUn 7th 2015

Seven people were hurt in a car crash along Highway 26 on Saturday near the David Douglas County Park.

One injured person was taken to the hospital by air ambulance. All seven are in the hospital and expected to survive their injuries, state police said.

Preliminary reports say it was a head-on crash near milepost 13. Emergency crews had to help pull at least one person from the crash.

Witnesses tell KATU News there were multiple cars involved in the collision.

The highway was closed for about 20 minutes while a LifeFlight helicopter landed on the roadway, Oregon Department of Transportation said.

The highway was down to two lanes instead of four for about 2 hours.
