Two people died Wednesday in Oklahoma roadway crashes, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Russell Weller Lewis III, 47, of Mooreland

Lewis was dead at the scene of a crash about 4:40 p.m. about 2 miles southeast of Woodward in Woodward County, the patrol reported.

Lewis was driving a pickup north on State Highway 34 just south of U.S. 183 when he went left of center and hit a tractor-trailer driven south on SH 34 by Jose Ayala, 57, of Woodward, the patrol reported.

Ayala was not injured.

Ayala wore a seat belt. Lewis did not wear a seat belt, the patrol reported.
