COLLIER COUNTY, FL : 18-year-old arrested in deadly Alligator Alley crash on Monday, 21st December, 2020

An 18-year-old was arrested in a deadly Alligator Alley crash involving five teenagers.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Gaven Kreuser was booked into the Collier County Jail on Monday.

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, Kreuser was driving on Alligator Alley around mile marker 65 with four other teens in the car when he hit a semi-trailer from behind and lost control, Florida Highway Patrol said.

The car then flipped and hit a guardrail, according to troopers. All five teenagers were taken to the hospital. A 16-year-old boy from Venice who was in the car died.

According to an arrest report, Kreuser was driving without a license.

Deputies said he is facing several charges, including reckless driving, vehicular homicide and driving without a license causing death.
