Authorities say a man riding a bicycle on one of Marlboro County's busiest roads has been struck and killed by a car.
Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown told media outlets that 47-year-old Leonard Thomas died almost immediately after he was struck Sunday afternoon on state Highway 38 near Bennettsville.
Troopers say Thomas was riding in a paved median when he was struck by a driver turning left.
The Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Rebecca Krouse was charged with reckless driving. It wasn't known if she had a lawyer.
