Las Vegas, NV : 12-year-old child on bicycle injured in hit-and-run collision with car near Grand Canyon Drive in Las Vegas on Friday morning, September 26, 2014

A 12-year-old was injured in a hit-and-run accident this morning, Metro Police said. The child was riding a bike near Grand Canyon Drive and Mesa Vista Avenue about 8:30 a.m. when the incident occurred. The child was transported to University Medical Center with a minor head injury, police said. Police were searching for the vehicle involved, which is believed to be a dark-colored SUV, police said.
