Orlando, FL : 1 killed, 2 injured in a fatal crash in Orange County on Thursday, April 14, 2016
Authorities have identified the people involved in a fatal crash in Orange County overnight.
The two-vehicle crash happened at Curry Ford Road and South Econlockhatchee Trail just before 3 a.m. Thursday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2005 Acura SUV was heading east on Curry Ford Road and entered the intersection at South Econlockhatchee Trail at the same time as a Honda sedan.
Authorities said the front of the SUV struck the right side of the Honda, with the force from the impact sending the SUV onto its side.
Troopers are trying to determine which driver had a red light.
The driver of the SUV, identified as Mark Vassallo, 25, of Orlando, was killed. The driver of the Honda, Ricard Rodriguez, 50, of Orlando, suffered minor injuries. His passenger, Feliz Rodriguez, 27, of Palm Bay, suffered serious injuries.
FHP said all three men were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
