The Kanawha Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those killed Tuesday in a crash on Interstate 79 near Clendenin.
Edna Gallian, 80, crossed from a northbound lane to a southbound lane and then crashed into a state-owned SUV, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
Gallian, of Clendenin, died in the crash, which also killed a passenger in the SUV and injured two other occupants, according to the release.
The deceased passenger, Glenn Lough, 47, was a resident of Fraziers Bottom and a veteran employee with the Division of Highways.
Neither of the surviving occupants suffered life-threatening injuries, according to an email from Carrie Jones, a spokeswoman for the Department of Transportation.
Investigators still are reconstructing the crash and searching for a cause, the release states.
In a statement from his office, Gov. Jim Justice offered his condolences to friends and family of the crash victims.
