Four people were taken to the hospital early Saturday with non-life threatening injuries after the car they were in crashed into a guardrail on Route 6, according to the Sandwich police and fire departments.
Rescuers were called at 2:17 a.m. to an area between Exits 1 and 2 in the eastbound lanes of the highway, the police said.
All four people were out of the car when rescuers arrived, a fire official said. Three people had serious but non-life threatening injuries, and one person had minor injuries. All four were taken to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, with ambulances from Sandwich, Bourne and West Barnstable.
