State police are investigating an accident that left a child and two women injured in Upper Freehold Township.
The accident happened Wednesday morning on Route 539.
State Police spokesman Lt. Brian Polite tells the Asbury Park Press the child and his mother, who was driving a car, were flown to a hospital in Trenton with serious injuries.
Polite says the other woman, who was driving an SUV, was taken by ambulance to another hospital.
Polite says it's not known what caused the crash.
