COFFEYVILLE, KS : Woman speeding before deadly southeast Kansas crash on U-166, about six miles east of Coffeyville on Saturday, 13th July 2019

A woman has died in a crash Saturday night in southeast Kansas.

Around 5:30 p.m., Charlotte Wheeler was driving west on U-166, about six miles east of Coffeyville.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, she was driving very fast. Her pickup truck dropped off the left shoulder, overcorrected and entered the south ditch. The truck rolled several times, and Wheeler was thrown from the truck.

Wheeler, 68, is from Coffeyville.
