Seguin, TX : Man killed in motorcycle crash in Guadalupe County on Monday, January 2, 2017

One man is dead and a child seriously injured following a motorcycle crash on Monday.
Seguin Fire and EMS and Kingsbury Volunteer Fire Department were called about 5:30 p.m. to the 11,000 block of FM 3353 for the reported crash.
Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Travis Poerner said it appeared that a Vento Colt motorcycle driven by a male with a 14-year-old passenger were traveling south on FM 3353.
“From the crash scene itself, it looks like — for some unknown reason — the driver ran off the road, crashed into the fence and the bike came to rest in the field,” he said.
The driver, who was identified as 53-year-old Albert Alfredo Saldana, of San Marcos, was fatally injured, while the 14-year-old was seriously injured, the trooper said.
The girl was flown to Dell’s Children Hospital in Austin for treatment, Poerner said. There is no current update on her condition.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Darrell Hunter. The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
