Victoria, TX : Two people were sent to a Victoria hospital after a two-vehicle wreck on Saturday, January, 6th 2018
Two people were sent to a Victoria hospital Saturday night after a two-vehicle wreck.
Troopers responded about 4:30 p.m. to the 9100 block of U.S. 59, where a northbound Ford Excursion lost control and struck a GMC pickup parked next to a residence, said Trooper Rob Mallory, of the Department of Public Safety.
The home was damaged because of the impact of the accident, Mallory said.
He said the Ford's front passenger tire blew and caused the driver to lose control, steer into a ditch and crash into the GMC.
"I heard it pop; I thought it was a gunshot at first," said Colemann Derryberry, the owner of the GMC, who was outside at the time of the accident.
The driver and a passenger of the Ford were sent to DeTar Hospital Navarro with minor injuries, Mallory said. He said the people in the Ford were a mother and her three children.
No one in the home was injured, he said.
The names of the people in the Ford were not available Saturday night.
