Reading,PA : Four injured in crash into home in Jefferson Township on April, Wednesday 25th 2018
Four people were injured Wednesday night when an SUV flipped over and crashed into the side of a house in Jefferson Township; state police said that alcohol played a role in the crash.
Crews were dispatched shortly after 7 p.m. to the 500 block of New Schaefferstown Road for the report of a vehicle accident with possible entrapment.
An SUV with four occupants ages 18 through 20 was headed west on New Schaefferstown Road when the female driver lost control near the intersection of Tulpehocken Street, according to Trooper Vincent M. Morgan of the Reading station.
The vehicle then went sideways on the road, crashing through a small picket fence before striking a tree and a large stone boulder, flipping the SUV onto its roof. The vehicle came to a rest when it ran into the side porch of a home at 584 New Schaefferstown Road, bending a support beam and a metal roof.
