Montgomery, AL : A two-vehicle crash in Alabama Highway 9 on Monday, October, 23rd 2017
A Cedar Bluff woman died from the results of a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on Alabama Highway 9, according to Cherokee County Coroner Jeremy Deaton.
Annie Pearl Bishop, 76, had to be extricated from the vehicle by rescue personnel and firefighters after colliding with another vehicle around 11:35 a.m. at Westbrook Street in Cedar Bluff. The second vehicle caught fire, but the driver was not injured.
Bishop, who was the driver of the vehicle, was in was taken to a local hospital then airlifted to an area trauma center.
Cedar Bluff police and firefighters, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
