Three people were hospitalized Sunday night when two cars and a motorcycle were involved in a crash, a fire official said.

None of the three were injured critically in the wreck, which happened on Vasco Road at Camino Diablo around 6:56 p.m., East Contra Costa County Battalion Chief Brian Helmick said. Two of the injured were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek and the third went to Sutter Medical Delta Center in Antioch.

Three other people refused treatment at the scene.

An air ambulance was called initially, then later canceled, Helmick said.

Details about how the crash unfolded were unavailable. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.

The crash was the second one in four days at the same location. A car overturned in a crash Thursday morning that backed up traffic for several miles and caused the CHP to issue a severe traffic alert. Nobody was seriously injured in that wreck.
