A 75-year-old man was killed after a two-vehicle car crash on Academy Road in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon while another driver was critically injured, police said.
About 2:30 p.m., the man was driving north on the 9100 block of Academy when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle, driven by a 35-year-old woman, heading south on Academy, police said.
Both drivers were taken by medics to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus. The man was pronounced dead at 3:15 p.m.
The woman was in critical condition, police said. Police did not release any names. The accident remains under investigation.
