Wallingford, CT : Woman injured after rollover crash on North Turnpike Road on Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2016

A woman was hospitalized after a car rolled over on North Turnpike Road on Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred just after 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Parker Farms Road. A Toyota RAV4 with a female driver came to rest on its roof in the middle of the road.

Police identified the driver as Barbara Lynch, 53, of Wallingford. Lynch was taken to an area hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening, according to firefighters at the scene.

Police had both lanes of North Turnpike Road blocked while assessing the accident and clearing the car from the road.

No other vehicles are believed to be involved, police said.

The road was reopened at about 1:40 p.m..

The crash is under investigation.
