Michigan State Police say a 19-year-old man is suspected of driving drunk Thursday when his Ford F-150 crossed the US-23 center median heading northbound and collided with a Mercury Sable, killing two teenagers.
The Pittsfield Township Fire Department was dispatched to a reported rollover accident after 4 p.m. Thursday. The crash closed Southbound US-23 at Michigan Avenue.
Police said the Jaws of Life were used to remove the driver's door of the pickup truck.
Police said the two 18-year-old men in the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford F-150 and a 23-year-old woman, who was sitting in the front seat of the sedan, were taken to the hospital in critical and serious condition.
Michigan State Police are investigating the crash.
