Ensley, AL : One person was killed and two injured after a van hit a power pole in Ensley Thursday afternoon on July 17, 2014

One person is dead and two injured after a traffic accident in Ensley.

According to the Birmingham Police Department, a van hit a power pole around 4:30 p.m. at Bessemer Road and Terrace R in Ensley. On impact, the van's back end swung around, which pinned one female between the vehicle and a power box, and also injured another male.

The female was pronounced dead on the scene, while the male along with the driver were transported to the hospital.
