YUBA COUNTY, CA : 1 person died in a wrong-way DUI crash in Yuba County on Monday, 2nd September 2024

One person died and three people were hospitalized in a wrong-way DUI crash early Monday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

At about 5:30 a.m., the CHP said that 19-year-old Alannah Eastern was driving a white Buick sedan when the car entered Highway 70 northbound on the southbound McGowan Parkway off-ramp and drove the wrong way on Highway 70.

The CHP said that the Buick crashed head-on with a silver Toyota SUV driving south on Highway 70 in the southbound lane.

The driver of the Toyota, a 47-year-old woman, was killed in the crash, the CHP said.
