FRANKFORT, ME : Three killed in 2 crashes in Waldo County on Saturday, August 12, 2017

Authorities in Waldo County are investigating two fatal crashes that happened in neighboring towns.

The county sheriff’s office says the first crash happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Frankfort, when a car rolled over, killing the 29-year-old male driver. No one else was in the vehicle.

The second crash happened around 5 a.m. in Prospect, when a car carrying four people crashed going around a corner near the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. A man and woman died, and two other men were hospitalized with serious injuries.
