BRIDGEPORT, CT : Ansonia man seriously hurt in Bridgeport motorcycle crash on Arctic Street between its intersection with Pembroke and Brooks streets on Thursday, 25th April 2019
A driver was seriously injured in a crash on Arctic Street Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to the scene of a serious crash on Arctic Street between its intersection with Pembroke and Brooks streets at approximately 1:58 p.m.
An Ansonia man was traveling east on Arctic Street operating a 2018 Yongfu Falcon 250cc motorcycle/scooter.
“As the motorcycle/scooter approached the area of 580 Arctic Street a Bridgeport woman travelling westbound, in an 2004 Acura TSX, attempted to turn left into the driveway of 580 Arctic Street and collided with the motorcycle,” police said in a release. “This caused the operator of the motorcycle to be ejected and strike a parked car.”
The operator of the motorcycle suffered severe injury to his lower left leg.
The motorcycle was found on the ground next to the parked vehicle. The operator of the motorcycle/scooter was transported to Bridgeport Hospital to undergo surgery, where he was listed in stable condition.
The operator of the Acura, who was not identified, was issued an infraction for failure to grant right of way.
