Concord,NH : New Hampshire man killed in McCrillis Corner crash on may, Friday 26th 2017
A New Hampshire man was killed this morning, after police say his motorcycle struck a vehicle on the McCrillis Corner Road.
According to Wilton Police Chief Heidi Wilcox, the deceased man is John Marden, 29 of Franklin, N.H. Marden was operating a 2015 Yamaha FZ6R motorcycle, heading south on Route 133 when the crash occurred. The motorcycle struck a 2002 Jeep Wrangler operated by Phillip St. Germain, 54 of Chesterville. The vehicle had been westbound on McCrillis Corner Road, crossing Route 133.
Marden was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
WPD, Wilton Fire & Rescue and NorthStar EMS responded to the report of the crash at 11:07 a.m. Chesterville and Jay Fire Department personnel assisted by blocking access to surrounding roads, with Jay police and Franklin County Sheriff's Office personnel also assisting at the scene.
Maine State Police assisted the Wilton department with forensic mapping and accident reconstruction, Wilcox said. The investigation is being led by WPD Officer Ethan Kyes.
Both operators were alone in their respective vehicles and both had active licenses. St. Germain was reportedly uninjured in the crash.
The surrounding roads reopened just after 2 p.m.
