Valdosta ,GA : Valdosta man dies in motorcycle crash on April, Friday 13th 2018

A 24-year-old Valdosta man died in a motorcycle accident Friday morning.

According to a Georgia State Patrol report, James Michael Thomas Carter was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Johnston Road, southeast of Valdosta, at about 3:14 a.m. when he lost control of his bike.

The report states that "Carter left the right roadway edge and traveled approximately 230 feet losing control and then traveling back onto the roadway an additional 181 feet to its final rest."

Carter died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.

No charges will be filed in this collision and next of kin have been notified.
