Woodstock, IL : One person injured after a motorcycle left the road and hit a fence on Sunday, May 15, 2016

One person was sent to the hospital Sunday after a motorcycle left the road and hit a fence, a fire official said.

Woodstock Fire Rescue District Captain Scott Nieman said crews responded to the area about 12:40 p.m. outside of Woodstock.

The driver of a motorcycle was southbound Deep Cut Road, and left the roadway near Nelson Road, Nieman said. There were no passengers on the motorcycle, he said, and the driver was sent to Centegra Hospital – Woodstock with injuries that were not considered to be life threatening.

He said the motorcycle went through a fence surrounding a farm, and he was not sure if the driver also hit the fence.

Nieman did not have information on what caused the crash. He said McHenry County Sheriff’s Department also responded.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Department could not immediately be reached for comment.
