STAMFORD, CT : Bridgeport man charged with leaving accident in Stamford on Monday, 16th December, 2019

A Bridgeport man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after police say he struck a parked car and then fled to a popular West Side bar and restaurant early Monday morning.
Sgt. Kenneth Jarrett said a man called police after he exited a restaurant in the 100 block of Stillwater Avenue early Monday morning and discovered his Volkswagen had been struck by a fleeing vehicle. Witnesses told police the car went west on Stillwater Avenue.
One witness followed the car, which police located the parking lot of Hugo’s Restaurant, 161 Stillwater Ave. Police went to the registered owner’s address and found Akeem Shoucair-Grant, 32, who Jarrett said admitted to driving the car when it struck the Volkswagen.
