Pineville, NC : One Person seriously injured in head-on crash on the 10800 block of Nations Ford Road on Wednesday, Nov 4, 2015

At least one person was injured and a major roadway shut down after a head-on collision in Pineville Wednesday.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. on the 10800 block of Nations Ford Road, in between Crompton Street and Forsyth Hall Drive. Police told WBTV it appeared a car traveling southbound crossed the center line and struck a flatbed tractor trailer head-on.

One person was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with very serious injured, according to Medic. That person's name has not been released.

Nations Ford was expected to be shut down around the scene for at least an hour.

Investigators have not said if any other injuries were reported or if any charges are being filed.
