St. Paul, MN : Woman killed in I-35W crash in Minneapolis on Monday, November, 6th 2017
The Minneapolis woman killed when the vehicle she was driving struck a guardrail on Interstate 35W in Minneapolis early Monday has been identified.
Antionette Shenice Fondren, 29, lost control of her Dodge Durango near East 26th Street and hit a guardrail, causing the vehicle to roll. She was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, according to the State Patrol.
Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash, the patrol said in an incident report posted Tuesday.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. in the interstate’s southbound lanes, the patrol said. Fondren was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
A passenger, Jimesha Charece Williams, 29, also of Minneapolis, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. She had been wearing a seat belt.
