Palm Bay, FL : One person dead in crash on U.S. 1 near The Wet Spot Bar at 3650 Dixie Highway NE on Monday afternoon, Nov 23, 2015

A deadly crash was reported in Palm Bay on Monday afternoon, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.

The Palm Bay Police Department responded to a crash reported on U.S. 1 near The Wet Spot Bar at 3650 Dixie Highway NE, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

A vehicle heading southbound crossed the median, striking another vehicle, police said.

One person was pronounced dead on the scene. Other victims are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said, but the number of victims was not released.

Both northbound lanes of U.S. 1 were closed. Traffic homicide investigators went to the scene and traffic was re-routed.
