Sacramento, CA : One patient airlifted from head-on collision in Ojai on Saturday, October, 7th 2017

Authorities had to airlift a victim from the scene of a head-on collision in the Ojai Valley on Saturday morning, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.

The crash was reported at 10:14 a.m. near Ojai Santa Paula Road and Happy Valley School Road.

The head-on crash trapped multiple people in one of the vehicles, according to authorities.

One victim was listed in critical condition and required transportation to the hospital via helicopter. Two other patients were transported via ambulance to a local hospital in unknown condition, according to authorities.

The California Highway Patrol closed Ojai Santa Paula Road in both directions while emergency personnel responded to the crash. The road later reopened.
