Springfield, TN : Woman ejected from vehicle in Springfield crash Wednesday afternoon on July 16, 2014

A woman was ejected from a vehicle in an injury accident near Springfield Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 1 p.m. on Highway 49, Smokey Barn News reported.

Upon their arrival, emergency crews reported the victim was lying in a ditch. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.

Her condition or identity was not immediately known.

Highway 49 was closed for about two hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
