Granbury, TX : Man killed, woman injured in head-on crash on U.S. 377 two miles east of Granbury near Rock Crusher Hill on Monday, 27th August 2018

A Granbury man was killed and a Cresson woman seriously injured in a head-on crash on U.S. 377 two miles east of Granbury near Rock Crusher Hill Monday afternoon. Charles Andrew Heimer, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene. Tammy Lanier, 51, was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

DPS Staff Sgt. and Public Information Officer Dub Gillum gave the following account.

A pickup truck driven by Lanier was traveling east toward Cresson and for an unknown reason traveled across the center median, up a small hill and into the westbound lanes of 377. A pickup truck driven by Heimer was traveling westbound and was hit head-on by Lanier’s truck. Heimer’s truck then traveled off the north side of the roadway for about 600 yards and hit a large tree in a field.
