SEMMES, AL : One dead in Howell's Ferry crash on Sunday, 28th April 2019

Alabama State Troopers have identified the person who died in an accident Sunday afternoon. Troopers say, 25-year-old Andrey Lucas Hubert Gomes of Wilmer, was traveling east in a 2012 Infiniti G-37 when his vehicle collided with a westbound Ford F-250 pick-up truck. The truck was driven by Melinda Peterson, of Semmes; she and two passengers were injured. Gomes, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The crash happened around 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28th on Howell’s Ferry Road near the intersection of Firetower Road in Semmes

At least one person has died in a two-car crash on Howell's Ferry Road in Semmes, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Troopers are continuing to investigate the scene. The cause of the accident has not been released.
