Birmingham, AL : Pickup truck crashes into metal barrier near Birmingham Friday on July 25, 2014

At least one person needed medical attention, after a wreck on 24th Street in Birmingham Friday.

The incident happened just before 3:00 p.m. on 2nd Avenue South and 24th Street South.

According to reports from the scene, it appeared the driver of a pickup truck somehow lost control, and crashed into a parking lot’s metal space barrier.

That parking lot belonged to an auto sales business.

Medics with the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service were seen taken the injured person away on a stretcher.

It appeared no other vehicles were involved.

There’s no word on the truck driver’s condition.
